Our Vision

We’re committed to providing all artists that come to ANOMALIA
with cutting-edge training in order to enhance their skills
and boost their chances of success, increasing career mobility and life opportunities
in the animation, gaming, and VFX.

Our story

ANOMALIA has been helping to shape the professional careers of animation artists since 2008 under the supervision of mentors from Pixar, Disney, Laika, DreamWorks, Valve, Aardman, Blue Sky and independent artists.

Tucked into the idyllic Czech town of Litomyšl is ANOMALIA, an animation training program that continues to gain momentum with its unique course offerings and growing list of impressive international mentors. Founded with the intent of bolstering 3D animation in the region, the training program was founded by local pros to bridge the gap they noticed between the strong classical foundations of the area and the 3D form of the craft that is in high professional demand.

ANOMALIA’s program has expanded over the years with the Story & Art Labs Incubator to accelerate the development of stories and visual concepts of animation projects with the ambition to succeed on the international market.

Location

ANOMALIA takes place in Litomyšl, a picturesque small town in the middle of the Czech Republic (about 140km from Prague).

The courses and labs are held in the facility of European Training Center. Premises are part of the renowned Renaissance castle complex and in particular its old brewery house, which will provide a very unique environment for participants to focus and get most out of the courses and summer time as well.

The main reason why we are not in Prague is simple: more time to learn, work and have fun. Litomyšl is truly an amazing and relaxing place. And the facility where we have the classroom and rooms is simply the best choice. It does NOT feel like school, which is what we wanted.
