I have had previous experience with traditional 2D animation at UTB University (puppet, cartoon, flat) and FAMU (cartoon), but with 3D animation to my first encounter has been at ANOMALIA. I am interested in a combination of 2D and 3D animation. Furthermore, I am interested in animation in general and knowledge of 3D falls into range of interest. The course is set to brief participants to work in a 3D and believability of physical movement and dramatic acting of puppets - all points of this concept have been met in all respects during the course. ANOMALIA has not disappointed my expectations, even more also for the amazing location in which the course takes place. Quality 2D projects are rare more and more and 3D animation work is coming slowly into our region, and so the course is rather a great advantage with this respect.

SARAH ARDUINI, Italy
I started my career as animator 4 years ago, working on a TV series for children. After that, my only occupation were only monsters, like dragons, zombies and hell dogs. Presently I’m involved in the production of a full length animated movie for a Rome based animation studio. I’ve always been interested in acting and body language. My serious approach to 3d animation started after one year of 3d layout. This experience gave me a more round knowledge of the process of animation. I attended two different animation courses in Rome and after that I kept learning and teaching myself through work, video tutorials and watching my favorite movies frame by frame. This year (2011) I wanted to improve my skills by attending a new course and I found on the web the ANOMALIA courses.
My experience here in Litomysl is going really well. I have the chance to get continuos feedback from the supervisor, Pixar animator Andy Schmidt, and this is simply great. The course so far is been meeting my expectations and, for now, I am totally satisfied. There are a lot of animation schools in the world. Some are more expensive the others. I think ANOMALIA is a good chance for those who want to improve and have a nice time in the meantime.

I have gotten in touch with animation only 5 years ago. Since then, I have also taken Animation Mentor online school. Since I’m still struggling with some little things, so the teaching in the classroom with ANOMALIA came as a great opportunity, since you have someone available at all times who will help you and help is more or less instant. The course is excellent, but I am a little sorry that it is not much longer. The quality of the course is excellent. Mentor knows exactly what he does and always manages to find a way to explain something or help. He has great access and work with them is fun.

I studied 2d traditionnal animation for 2 years in France. I worked as 2d flash animator for french television and then I try to work in 3d (3dsmax). I feel that I need the best professionnals’ opinions about my work because I would like to improve my animation skills. And it is a good experience to meet people from different countries at ANOMALIA… And to live near a Castle, it is great. It helps me a lot to hear the opinion of the teacher about my work and the others students works. In France, there is a lot of animators but there is not enough jobs for everybody. That’s why I needed to improve my skills.
DARKO TOMICIC, Croatia
I am a 2d animator from Zagreb, Croatia.I started as an in-betweener on feature films, and after few years I had started to animate on various TV series. Last few years I am an independent artist working on commercials, music videos and other kind of clips, and from time to time I am working on long feature films.
Last few years I had to refuse some 3D animation jobs from my regular clients because I didn’t know how to animate in 3d, so I had decided to learn some 3D animation. ANOMALIA course is helping me very much in my attempt lo learn 3d, and I think it was really great idea to gather such eminent professionals to teach us about animation in 3d.
