Royce Wesley, PIXAR Animation Studios

Royce has been animating professionally in New York and California for film and television productions for the past 12 years. After graduating with a BFA in Film and Animation from The Rhode Island School of Design in 1999, his professional career started as a stop-motion animator on MTV’s „Celebrity Deathmatch“. When the show ended in 2001 he moved in to computer animation and worked for Blue Sky Studios on a number of projects including lead animator roles on „Ice Age 2″ and „Horton Hears a Who“. In 2007 Royce made a change in his career and spent the next two years as a freelance animator in New York City, supervising and animating on projects with commercial houses like Psyop, Hornet inc, and Curious Pictures. In 2009 Royce returned to feature animation, accepting an animator position at Pixar Animation Studios. He is currently working on Pixar’s next feature film „Brave“. In addition to his animation work, Royce has taught and lectured on animation in institutions such as The School of Visual Arts (NY), California College of the Arts (CA), and online at Animation Mentor.

Matt Majers (tbc), PIXAR Animation Studios

Matt Majers has been animating professionally for eleven years.  After realizing that skateboarding and snowboarding every day gets boring, he attended CalArts graduating in 2001.  His first gig was at Rhythm and Hues animating on Scooby Doo.  After finishing the ‘Doo, he whisked off to New Zealand to animate on Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.  Shortly thereafter he wound up in the bay area working for Pixar and has since animated on several films including Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Presto, Up!, Toy Story 3, La Luna, and is currently working on Monsters University.  His student films have played in Los Angeles, New York, and Paris.  He currently teaches with the Animation Collective in Emeryville, CA, and has lectured in the US, Denmark, Egypt  and the UAE.  When not busy animating he enjoys running, skate/snowboarding, and spending time with his family.

Keith Lango, VALVE

Keith has worked on icons of childhood (Mickey Mouse & GI Joe), singing vegetables, space traveling penguins, Oscar nominated films, commercials, top tier game cinematics and features. Along the way he has made a few short films. Keith Lango is head & shoulders above most Animators of the world. He is also one of the best mentors of animators, and his tutorials that are internationally known & utilized. If you are an Animator you need to know this guy! His experience stretches from studios such as Big Idea, Ree FX, DNA Productions, Blur Studio, and currently Keith is at Valve in Seattle. Personal site at www.keithlango.com

Robert Bennett, Les Gobelins

He’s developed Workshops in Corporeal Acting for Animators, which are proposed to schools of animation as well as production houses in Animation. He continues to work as an Actor in film, television and the Theatre. Robert Bennett was first introduced to Dramatique Corporeal Mime in the United States by Thomas Leabheart, a past assistant to Mr. Etienne Decroux and is presently on the staff of Pomona College in California where he edits the Mime Journal. In 1984 Robert Bennett went to Paris to continue his studies with Mr. Etienne Decroux, the founder of this technique. One year later he enrolled in the L’ecole De Mime Corporel Dramatique De Paris where he became an assistant instructor and one of the principal actors of “Theatre de L’Ange Fou” under the direction of Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum. Since 1989, he has participated in the theatre productions and film projects of the company, “Maquette X XX” in Brussels, Belgium. In 1994, he was invited to give a demonstration in “character walks” for the students of film animation at the CFT Goblins, in Paris. The mutual interest in this first encounter encouraged the development of further workshops in Acting for Animation. Since this time Robert has taught in several schools of Animation and production houses such as The Walt Disney Studio France, Warner Brothers Feature Animation, U.S.A. and as a compliment to the Richard Williams workshops in Denmark. Bob Pauley (tbc), PIXAR Animation Studios

Bob Pauley is currently serving as the production designer of Disney-Pixar. Pauley first joined Pixar Animation Studios in 1993 at the beginning of production on „Toy Story,“ the studio’s first feature film, as a character designer and sketch artist. During the production of „Toy Story,“ he contributed some of the most formative and iconic character design work on Buzz Lightyear. Following „Toy Story,“ Pauley served as art director on „A Bug’s Life“ and a production designer on „Monster’s, Inc.“ Always interested in automotive design, Pauley also played a critical creative role in the production of Disney-Pixar’s „Cars.“ As production designer, he was instrumental in the design of many of the film’s characters and environments, drawing inspiration from a life-long love of cars and research trips to various auto shows and Route 66. Pauley was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and grew up in San Jose, California where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design degree from San Jose State University. Pauley currently resides in Berkeley, California.

Kay Delventhal, independent

Kay Delventhal works in CGI | VFX since 1992. He worked as a Digital Artist and Supervisor for movies and commercials and during his work at the BFC in Berlin, he focused on animated feature film and was also involved in database and pipeline setups. Which lead into the position of a CGI- and Co-Director at Toons’n'Tales for the feature film „Jasper“. Currently Kay works as a freelance CGI | VFX Supervisor and Director for film and commercial productions. Kenny Roy, Acronyx

Kenny Roy started his career in 1998 as a dustbuster on the animated film,Marco Polo: Return to Xanadu. From those humble beginnings, he’s gone on to animate some of the most memorable characters on screen. In 11 years, Kenny has animated for TV shows, pilots, commercials, games, web, ride films and feature films, with his most notable credits being Scooby Doo 2Garfield and King Kong. In 2006 Kenny founded Arconyx Animation Studios, LLC in Los Angeles, Calif. The boutique studio caters solely to character projects, and has found major success pleasing high-profile clients from Mattel to MTV, Nike to Nickelodeon, Saban to Sci-Fi Channel. Along with running Arconyx, Kenny mentors full-time at Animation Mentor.
